The Practice of Living Slower

I’m really tired of going fast.

And hard.

And pushing till my bones hurt.

We live in a culture that demands we go faster and faster. Click-bait, sound bites, competition to get more and more and more. Traffic. Appointments. Getting the kids from here to there and there.

Posting. Sharing. Narrating our lives on social media, even in the quiet moments. We don’t stop.

Faster and faster.

Until we break. Until we can’t do it anymore. Until our body shouts NO!

But what if there were another way? What if we practiced going slowly? On purpose.

So we can feel.

So we can hear.

So that all the noise and distraction can settle.

We slowly unwind the tightly coiled burdens.

In the slowness we can finally remember. Who we are. What we need.

There is clarity. And breath. And release.

There is peace.

There is truth. There is courage. There is power.

And so, this is how we practice. Slow. On purpose.

Michelle, can you relate? Does your life feel like it’s spinning out of control? Are you moving so fast you can hardly breathe?

Join me this Sunday to deepen into this conversation. I will be offering a free Sunday Service on “living slower,” and how, with the conscious choice to slow down, we can access and see who we truly are. We can heal the hurt and put back the broken pieces so we can meet this crazy moment in time. It’s at 9am PST in our private group. The Sunday Service is always recorded, so you can watch it on your own time too.

a place to belong.

a feminine space of devotion

After two decades of leading circles, mentoring women, and building communities, the next evolution of my work revealed itself — Her Sanctuary.

It's community and connection and a sense of belonging. It feels like a deep sigh of relief. It's women supporting women and bringing back the ancient practice of devoted sisterhood, ceremony, and ritual. It's remembering who we are as strong, courageous, empowered, wise women, and having a space to speak our truth. This is a community of care. It's like a church for the sacred feminine.

Her Sanctuary is the living embodiment of The Practice — a temple for women to remember who they are, together.

At the heart of the Her Sanctuary Mystery School is The Practice, a sacred feminine journey and path of remembrance, and becoming. Rooted in ceremony, sisacred feminine teachings, and deep transformational work, The Practice is an immersive seasonal 9-week experience inviting women to release old identities, reconnect with their truth, and step more fully into who they are becoming.
